GetResponse

Very affordable, good service with long list of useful and rare features. GetResponse is for sure one of the top email marketing players. Choosing specific provider the details counts and some of them can decide to choose GetResponse.

Who will be satisfied most using GetResponse

GetResponse seems to be slightly cheaper (their plans start from 15$ for 1000 contacts monthly) which could be strong pro, especially for the starting Internet marketing newbies.

The price counts in specific situation, but frankly it’s better not overvalue it – on such competitive market costs don’t differ much – as a rule it’s better to pay 10% (rarely more) for service that you like more.

Despite GetResponse starts from lower price doesn’t mean this provider offers less. Using their email marketing you often will be surprised. First of all GetResponse is the richest service in terms of available features. Some of them are very useful, for instance they offer the possibility of sending campaigns strictly adjusted to local time of receiver. Just with one click you can set the sending process for, say 9.00 am local time all over the world.

If you are looking for a great list of features and service that is expected to even grow in the future GetResponse is just for you. All, as mentioned in quite nice price.

But if you prefer more stable provider, as well technologically as in terms of marketing side you could rather visit and try Constant Contact, the over all winner of our rank.

After years of test we could say that GetResponse is more than OK but some parameters of the daily side of the service could be better. Sometimes emails from GetResponse we find in Google spam folder, the deliverability rate could also be better. The support is OK but limited to business hours.

Anyway GetResponse is one of the top providers, they service over 350 000 customers on daily basis and the reason is probably simple: they deliver extraordinary service for very long time already.

Arguments for and against choosing GetResponse

Below is pros&cons list for GetResponse. This is great example of business that fights every day to deliver the longest list of service features and tools. At least in the field of core e-mail marketing. If you need other, far from email marketing roots options (Social Media campaigns, events marketing etc) sooner you find them somewhere else (Constant Contact, iContact).

The aggressive development of GetResponse sometimes costs also slightly worse standard of service. On the other hand who’s 100% ideal provider?

PROS:
  • the richest bunch of features
  • easy to use, intuitive
  • good integration options
  • helpful support
  • affordable plans

CONS:
  • support limited to business hours
  • no money back guarantee
  • sometimes service goes wrong without a reason
  • lack of extra (non-email marketing-core) features

I hate some inside solutions. Sometimes it takes hours of thinking and contacting to the support to find out how to and where

+ PROS: GR is really cheaper than average
    - CONS: usability
